Kishor Exports are a renowned garment manufacturer based in Ranchi and Agra. Originally founded by a husband and wife team in 1978, they carry almost every certification a stringent buyer could ask for.
They're past winners of the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practice award at the World CSR Congress, and all of their employees receive a living wage, fair working hours, medical support, medical insurance and retirement funds.

How it started
The real story of Kishor Exports is much deeper than the certifications. Its founders saw a need to bring employment to people rather than having them migrate to find it.
On the first day they opened they had a small sign on the gate advertising positions, and on the next there was a crowd of hundreds waiting to apply for positions. It is safe to say the need was there. -
Opportunities closer to home
Since setting up, many of their employees moved back to their homes as they now have the opportunity to work near their families.
85% of Kishor’s employees are women, and they also support elderly employees who are commonly discriminated against in the workforce. -
More than a manufacturer
Kishor Exports are deeply involved in charitable action in their community. They support TEARS (a school for differently-abled children); where they have built a computer lab and provided scholarships. They’ve even hired some of their graduates.
They also provide training and upskilling for rural women through SEAM (Skill for Employment in Apparel Manufacturing), and have arranged a residence and employment for female survivors of acid attacks.
