Shakti Delhi is not one factory but a network of small family businesses all playing their part in crafting each mat. The working model is built around catering to the individual needs of the craftspeople. This means prioritizing family empowerment, financial independence, and flexible working hours.
The craftspeople are supported with overtime pay, end of year bonuses and ESI medical insurance to ensure the wellbeing of them and their families is looked after.

In 2023, Shakti worked with SMETA certifiers to get official certification for socially responsible manufacture. This has been a long work in progress but an exciting one as it provides us with unequivocal certainty around fair working conditions, pay and hours, fire safety and medical training.
